World Teachers’ Day
Australia is celebrating World Teachers’ Day today, 29 October, due to our school holidays being at the start of the month.
Please join me in thanking all our teachers, support and admin staff for all that they do in making this school a success. They help to make our students’ futures bright.
It is a very good way to conclude our ‘Tune In’ to Mental Health Week which has been very engaging and purposeful for our students, teachers and parents. There has been a wide range of enjoyable activities and learning that have taken place.
Thank you to all who worked to make this week’s events happen.
Renovations – Changerooms 4Fl/ 6Fl
We are very pleased to be undertaking renovations of our 4Fl and 6FL changerooms across the Christmas holiday period. Work will commence from 4 December and run until the start of the new school year.
This will be a very significant renovation in our 20-year-old building which will dramatically improve the appearance and amenity of the changerooms for the students, as well as in the staff changerooms.
The following images provide some idea of the new look, which has a brighter and more contemporary feel. New tiling, lighting and air ventilation systems will be welcome and there is also considerable environmental savings with the LED lighting and more energy efficient air-conditioning.
The showering facilities will be bigger, whiter and brighter and provide more privacy for the users. Bench space, shelving and hanging space will also be increased.
We are looking forward to this significant project being completed and sharing with you the outcome in February.
