[Head of Primary] Term 3 Week 1 Message

Firstly, a very special welcome to our new students and families in the Primary Division at AISHK. We have had many new students join us for Term 3 and it has been wonderful to see how well the students have settled into their new classes. I have spoken to many new parents and they have talked about how comfortable their child is feeling and how much they are enjoying AISHK in the first week. Much of this comes back to the wonderful students and teachers we have at this school and how our existing students are very eager to help new students feel welcomed at AISHK. A true spirit of the school!

Welcome back, also, to our existing families. For those who may remember last year, we spent all of Term 3 online which was challenging for many families. Commencing this term with all students on campus full time has been an absolute joy with many students (and parents!) very excited to be back at school.

Welcome Meeting for New Parents of Term 3

An invitation has been sent to new families who joined us this term to attend an informal meeting with the Primary Leadership Team. This meeting will give parents an overview of AISHK, an opportunity to ask questions as well as meet other new families. Please see the email from the Primary Office today.  If you are a new family in 2021 from Term 1 or Term 2 and would also like to attend this event, please contact the Primary Office at primaryoffice@aishk.edu.hk to confirm your attendance.

Extra Curricular Activities

We have had a fantastic sign-up response for our ECAs beginning in Week 3. Although we are working with a modified program with reduced numbers, it is still very exciting to be running ECAs for the first time since 2019. We will still have to maintain social distancing procedures to ensure the safety of the students. More information about the procedures of ECAs will be communicated by the Primary Office next week. The closing date for signing up is Tuesday 27 July.

We have a busy term coming up with ECAs beginning, student led conferences, Book Week, Chinese Week, Camps for Years 5 and 6 and a long awaited Mufti Day! We are looking forward to a great term and excited to be able to provide more opportunities to our students.
