Reception Newsletter | Term 2 Week 10

Hello Reception Families,

Here we are at the end of Term 3! We have had a great time learning and having fun together. It was fabulous to have some more parents on campus today to visit our classroom and join in with our play. We have also said farewell to our friend Eva, from the afternoon class. We have loved having you as a part of class and we wish you and your family all the best in your new journey.

It’s been wonderful to see our students grow and develop over the first half of this year. During this past term there has been lots of social learning happening in our classroom and this work has been obvious in the past few weeks as I have noticed students are deepening their friendships and working more cooperatively. Our sunflowers have also been growing! Students have been very excited about taking their seedling home. We’ve been taking great care of them here in class and I’m sure our students will take great care of them at home too. There will be some flowers before too long. This week we’ve been revisiting our favourite rhymes, including ‘Five Flying Saucers’ and ‘Five Little Ducks’. Students enjoy using props to recreate these rhymes in their own play and it’s fantastic to see them applying this learning in games with one another.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement over this past term, it is truly appreciated. Wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday break. Looking forward to seeing you again in Term 3, hearing all about your holiday adventures and continuing our learning journey together.
