It has been a great experience having our students on campus for all their learning routines this week and there has been a high sense of engagement amongst the students. The longer school day may be requiring some adjustments to routines, but the sense of satisfaction of teachers and students is noticeable. You may very well be noting that at home as well. We are keen to embed steady, daily routines and quality social experiences for the students, as they enable ready growth in student learning as well as their overall development.
The ‘reptile man’ has been with Year 1 this week and made a great impression on the students with the unusual creatures he displayed. I learnt quite a deal from him as well.
The Secondary students are completing their inter-house Covid Cup competition today and there has been an excellent sense of engagement across the year levels. We look forward to the winner being announced next week.
Parent visits and tours in Primary for Years Prep, 1, 2, 3 have been well attended and a valuable reconnect, so thank you to all who have engaged in these events. Secondary meet and greet mornings for Year 7 and Year 9 were very happy gatherings in the cafeteria with the Secondary leadership team. We look forward to meeting Year 8 parents next Thursday 3 June and seeing all the Year 10 parents at a senior subject information session on Tuesday 1 June.
It has been a busy and happy week to end the month of May and I do hope your weekend family time is fun and fulfilling.
