The Chinese teachers made a video demonstration to show the students how to make the noodles from scratch – just salt, water and flour!
Many students then went home and made the noodles with their parents. As you can see from the photos, lots of hard work and patience stirring the mixture, kneading the dough and cutting all of the noodle strands.
Our budding chefs did such a fantastic job cooking up a feast!
1. Mix flour and salt evenly, add water and knead into a dough, then knead the dough.
2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest at room temperature for 40 minutes.
3. Sprinkle an appropriate amount of flour on the table, and then sprinkle a little flour on the dough.
4. Flatten the dough and use a rolling pin to roll it into even large slices.
5. Cut into noodles.
