Year 2 Learn to Make Homemade Noodles

Some Year 2 groups became chefs for a day as they learnt how to make noodles as part of their cultural unit.

The Chinese teachers made a video demonstration to show the students how to make the noodles from scratch – just salt, water and flour!

Many students then went home and made the noodles with their parents. As you can see from the photos, lots of hard work and patience stirring the mixture, kneading the dough and cutting all of the noodle strands.

Our budding chefs did such a fantastic job cooking up a feast!

If you’re looking for fun family activity, give this recipe a try.
