[Parent Association] End of Term Message and Update

Parent Association Update

The Parent Association would like to thank everyone in our school community for your participation and continued support in challenging times. Our  camaraderie is important in shaping and maintaining the values of our school. As a bridge between staff, families and students, the PA continues to plan creative ways to connect and to express the team spirit which we all uphold.

Meet and Greet Success
We are delighted that the Meet and Greet sessions held earlier in the term, were a success. In aim to welcome new AISHK parents in small groups, the PA New Parent Coordinators worked with the school to hold three informal, conversational sessions led by the Primary and Secondary school psychologists. Should any further dates be feasible next term, we will inform the parent community.

Mini Meets
The PA is excited to set up another series of small meetings which will initially involve the PA Committee and our volunteer Class and Year Level Representatives. During next term, we hope to promote more Mini Meets to our wider school community where possible. We are also planning to follow the format of smaller meetings in our considerations regarding our Mothers’ Month in May.

PA E-Shop
The PA is in the planning stages of launching school-themed merchandise which can be purchased in Term 2. Please stay tuned for further updates as to its launch!

School Enhancement Projects
The PA is coordinating with the school management to identify potential facilities which we can assist the school to enhance, for the benefit of our students.

Morning Tea & Pizza Day from PA
As a simple gesture of gratitude from the PA for all the hard work of all AISHK staff, we sponsored a pizza lunch for staff on Thursday of this week. Parents and PA members also provided sweet delights for staff morning tea as a treat towards the end of term.

Lastly, the PA hopes you have a wonderful  and relaxing school holiday. We look forward catching up with you all in Term 2. As always, please keep safe and healthy!

Best wishes,

Joanna Hartnett | President
