Year 12 students are currently working hard towards the completion of their HSC and IB courses, with the examinations approaching in October and November.
The Careers Advisors have been helping the students to make crucial decisions about their futures in what can seem sometimes like a very uncertain world where change is the only constant. Students in Year 12 have been provided with:
- Post-school planning interviews and bespoke guidance
- A range of different global university open days (most of which are now online) sent to them on our Careers Google Classroom site
- Feedback on a personal statement on their academic and extra-curricular achievements, experience and skills, written with university admissions in mind
- Ongoing advice, guidance and support with university admissions
Mr Murphy and Mr Pomeroy are providing drop-in Google Meet sessions for Year 12 students to discuss their university applications on the Year 12 cohort Google Meet at the following times (until further notice):
- Tuesday 8.15-8.35am
- Wednesday 8.15-8.35am
- Thursday 8.15-8.35am
- Friday 1.15-2.15pm
Finally, we would very much like to congratulate Mrs Kiely Murphy, who has been working with us as a fellow Careers Advisor since January 2019, on her appointment as Vice Principal at King George V School. We will miss working with Kiely and would like to thank her for all her work in guiding students at AISHK. Mrs Murphy will be leaving us in Week 4, and her students will be assigned a new Careers Advisor in due course.
