It has been wonderful to see the students keen to borrow each week and have the Library come alive again! This term in Library learning, students have continued to develop their information literacy skills through units of work in English (Year 6), Science (Prep, Year 1), HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences), History (Year 2, Year 4 and Year 5) and Civics and Citizenship (Year 3). Next term, our focus in Library is on visual and critical literacy and we look forward to celebrating Book Week in Week 7. More details to follow early next term.
JK Rowling’s New Book ‘The Ickabog’ Free Online/ Illustrating Competition
JK Rowling’s new book, ‘The Ickabog’ will be published for free on this website, in instalments, over the next seven weeks – a chapter (or two or three) at a time. It isn’t Harry Potter and it doesn’t include magic. This is an entirely different story.
JK Rowling’s publishers have opened up a competition and would like readers to illustrate the book and send in their entries. Every day, Ms Rowling will be making suggestions for what you might like to draw. For more information click here.
