Year 1 Student Awarded 1st Place at Asia Pacific Dance Competition 2019

Bella Wong (Year 1T) recently represented Hong Kong in two international dance competitions with Hibiscus Dance.

At the ’21st Asia Pacific Dance Competition 2019′ held in Bangkok, Thailand (Aug 22nd to 25th Aug), Bella won her first Solo Champion out of Hong Kong in the Children Freestyle 5-7 years and under group. She competed against over 1,000 competitors from 9 Asia Pacific countries in the finals. This event was organised by CSTD Australia and the Australian Embassy Thailand. This is an international all genre dance competition in the Asia Pacific region for children and young adults.

Bella also represented Hong Kong at the ‘Dance World Cup 2019’ which was held in Braga, Portugal (Jun 28th to 6th July). Bella’s team won the Champion (Gold medal) among 21 teams in the ‘Children Large Group Show Dance’ and 4th position among 32 teams in ‘Children Small Group Show Dance’. She was the youngest in both sessions.
