On 31 July to 1 August, Jacaranda held a successful and entertaining mufti day. With the theme of the day being Beach Party, there were countless activities held throughout the two days to raise money for the Hope for Cambodian Children charity. The Typhoon didn’t dampen the spirits of mighty Jaca!
Primary students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities including a disco, face painting, swimming pool party, recess bake sale and the lunch time sausage sizzle. A huge thanks goes out to the Year 6 students and Jacaranda parents that helped with the smooth running of the highly anticipated Aussie Burger BBQ along with the recess bake sale.
Secondary students also had the chance to celebrate Jaca mufti day through their lunchtime BBQ and recess bake sale. In addition, students from different houses had the chance to purchase a coloured bandanna of their house to further support Jaca mufti day. Thanks to senior secondary students for running the bake sale as well as the lunch time BBQ.
In total, approximately HK$ 36500 was raised for HOPE for Cambodian Children. HOPE for Cambodian Children is a charitable foundation that cares for abandoned children and assists those from the poorest areas of the community. This money will go directly towards sponsoring a number of students to attend University, refurbish classrooms and fix up the amenities .
