[Head of Primary Message] An Exciting Term Ahead!

A warm welcome back to everyone after the mid-year holiday. I hope everyone had a relaxing break with family and friends, and that you are feeling refreshed for an exciting term ahead!

A special welcome to all our new students this term – it is great to see such a positive start for these students and their families. On checking in with the new students this week, they commented on how friendly the teachers and students are at AISHK. I believe this is a credit to the positive and welcoming culture we have at our school.

We have a busy Term 3 coming up, especially for Early Childhood as they prepare for their musical production, Stella the Starfish. Thank you to all who gave up their time on Thursday this week, to help prepare props and costumes for the musical. This extra effort contributed by our parents is greatly appreciated.

I would like to offer a very warm welcome to our new staff members this term. AISHK welcomes Primary Psychologist (Reception – Year 6) Ms Jean McPherson, who started with us this week. Ms McPherson has recently been working at ESF (English Schools Foundation) in Hong Kong prior to joining AISHK.

Next week will be Primary Music Teacher, Ms Vindy Ho’s final week at AISHK. Ms Ho will take up the position of Head of Music at Kowloon Junior School and we wish her all the best. Ms Anita Lee, who has been working in Japan will join AISHK as  Primary Music Teacher from 5 August. We look forward to welcoming Ms Lee to AISHK.

We welcome Ms Rachel Austin who is working part time as the Visual Arts Teacher for Prep and Year 1. We also welcome back Mrs Sarah Galvin who has been on maternity leave for the first half of the year.

Though we are only at the end of Week 1, a lot of dynamic activity and hard work has already taken place.

Wishing you all a great term ahead!

New students and parents are welcomed to their first day at AISHK.
