Welcome back to the new term! I hope everyone has had a relaxing break with family.
It was wonderful to welcome students back to school this week, excited about seeing their friends and teachers again.
Earlier in the week, we also welcomed Sue Pike from the Australian Independent Schools (AIS) NSW who worked with teachers on how we can use Inquiry Learning to improve the quality of the learning experiences of our students in the classroom. This was a fantastic opportunity for teachers and we are pleased as a leading international school to continue to access to the same, high quality professional learning teachers in Australia receive.
We have a very exciting Term 2 coming up with events including the Early Childhood Swimming Carnival, Year 6 Australian Stories Showcase, Performing Arts Showcase, Student-Led Conferences, Peer Support, LEAP Van visit, Chinese Week, Wattle Mufti Day, Year 4 Camp and many other great experiences for our students. It will be a busy and exciting term as we offer students a well-rounded educational experience at AISHK.
Parents should also have received an invitation from your child’s class teacher today to sign up for your child’s online journal through Seesaw. This platform provides great insight into the learning experiences your child is involved in at school and is shared directly with you through personal notifications.
Seesaw is one of the best online technology advancements available, bringing parents closer to their child’s learning than ever before. As a parent, I am looking forward to signing up!
