Welcome to another edition of the Year 2 Newsletter, it has been an eventful past fortnight! For those who were able to make it to the Assembly you would have heard about some of the things the students have been learning about. Thank you for attending and showing your support. We hope you enjoyed watching.
We continue to research and ask questions skills about the human body fostering the children’s curiosity and love of learning. Please keep this up at home and if your child has any non-fiction texts they would like to share then please send them in. Next week, the students will be demonstrating their knowledge and understanding of the features of Informative Texts by creating their own. They have been researching and collecting information in order to inform the rest of the class about their chosen organ/body part. We are looking forward to hearing more facts about the amazing human body.
This week saw another successful Book Week take place. On Monday the students participated in a Book Week Quiz where they showed off their character knowledge, and today they paraded around as their favourite book character. Today also marks the end of the Reading Challenge. Thank you for your continued support at home in ensuring that the children’s minutes were recorded. Mrs Atkins has been extremely impressed by the number of minutes recorded across Year 2.
Wet Weather Dismissal
On rainy days we often have Wet Weather Dismissal. As a reminder, all Early Childhood students are now collected from their classroom. Can you please pass on the room numbers to your Helper’s if they collect your child. Many thanks.

A few messages below for all the Fathers out there. On behalf of the Year 2 team, we hope you enjoy a fun Sunday with your family.
