We are quickly coming to the end of Term 2 and the Prep students are thriving. They are becoming more independent, improving their reading and writing and forming new friendships.
One aspect of school they have thoroughly enjoyed this term is Peer Support. This program runs every Wednesday after Recess. The children are collected by their Year 6 leader and taken to various classrooms around the school where they work in small groups with one member from each grade. This term the focus has been health and the students have explored different ways to be healthy.
To celebrate the end of the program there will be a Jump Jam on the field for all students from Prep to Year 12. This will happen on Wednesday, 20th June when the whole school will come together on the field in one massive display of unity, positive spirit and friendship. The students are welcome to wear their coloured t-shirts on that day.
Another fantastic celebration was Chinese Week in week 7. The students participated in a number of fun and exciting activities. The week ended with a wonderful Chinese assembly which was a spectacular show filled with colour and excellent entertainment.
On Thursday, 21st of June the school will host Student Led Conferences. Each student has been allocated a specific time slot and needs to be at school only for that hour. They will guide you through their learning with a focus on sharing their academic journey.
Following the Student Led Conferences will be our last day of Term 2 on Friday, 22nd June . This will be a half day and school will finish at 12pm. School buses will leave at this time and all other students need to be picked up at 12 from the usual pick up areas.
