In 2017 the AISHK Parent Association (PA) and school collaborated with an external provider to explore a refurbishment of the undercover playground on the ground floor of the school.
With a greater drive from the student and parent community to observe green initiatives, and to allow the PA to utilise their funds to benefit a broader range of year levels and faculties, it has been agreed that the school will assume responsibility for any future refurbishment of the playground.
As such, the PA are now committed to and have approved funding to action the following projects this year:
- Upgrade the sandpit to a larger, more functional play space
- Sponsor the purchases of various resources for the Design & Technology department including a plastic recycling machine
- Purchase much-needed storage for the field area, which will house both Parent Association equipment and outdoor education items for student play
AISHK prides itself on having an engaged and supportive parent community. It is largely through such support that the Parent Association is able to raise funds to support projects and programmes that have measurable, meaningful benefits and which enhance the School’s teaching, learning and recreational environments. These enhancements further enrich our students’ daily school lives and contribute to maintaining AISHK’s place as a leading international School in Hong Kong.
