Well-done to all our students and staff for managing a very successful, but busy, Term 1.
The secondary students reported back on the hugely engaging Activity Week program: 13 different experiential learning courses across ten different countries, all within the one week. The assembly held this week to view the course-work of the Activity Week was both enjoyable and inspirational. Our Year 5 and Year 6 guest attendees enjoyed seeing what lay ahead for them as well.
The sports events in the later part of this term have showed a great degree of skill, tenacity and teamwork. Congratulations to all the students for their personal bests and team efforts which have gone in to all training and competitions, including the SDRC volleyball competition held at ‘home’, the ACAMIS swimming in Suzhuo, the ISSFHK Track and Field championships and the secondary athletics carnival held at Kowloon Tsai Park.
On the charity and fundraising front, congratulations go to Eucalypt House in their raising of $30,000 which will be donated to The Christina Nobel Children’s Foundation charity. We annually sponsor children through the CNCF as well as support their service activities.
There are many students engaging in Model United Nations (MUN) and a senior group had a successful HKMUN event at the Science Park last weekend. Well-done on their participation and debating.
May all of our students, their families and the staff have a restful and enjoyable holiday experience.
