As part of our Preparation for Success Programme this term, Year 11 students were visited by nutrition Masters students from Bond University in Queensland. Mr. Duff and Miss Barnett spoke to the students about the importance of nutrition. They quizzed them on important facts about digestion and gave them tips on staying healthy whilst studying intensively. They rewarded our students with gifts from Bond, such as frisbees and footballs.
They also told students about Bond University, informing us of the courses they offered and, in particular, their nutrition course. It was useful for our students to learn about the daily life of a postgrad student. Students had many questions about food and were especially interested in the career paths and options associated with nutrition.
