The Design Department is still seeking professionals from all industries for Dragon’s Den 2017, to run over 14-17 November. Dragon’s Den is our annual event for Year 12 Product Design students to pitch their product concepts to a panel of industry professionals. Here is a recap of last year’s Dragon’s Den event. Both IB and HSC students will be participating this year.
We aim to fill our panels with professionals from diverse backgrounds so that our student designers can gain authentic feedback on the viability and marketability of their product concepts. Panel volunteers are only required for about 1.5 hours for one day only. During the session, four students will seek critique and advice from the panel after a 10 minute concept pitch.
Pitching ideas is a key skill and this activity is a valuable learning experience for the young designers. If you are interested in volunteering as a panellist, please do not hesitate to contact me by email.
