U/12 ISSFHK Boys & Girls Soccer Report

u12 boys team

This year we had team in both the Div 1 and 2 divisions due to the number of keen students that we have in AISHK playing boys soccer. Both teams played seven games against the same schools and it was great for the boys to cheer each other on. The Div 1 team recorded four wins and three losses for their pool games and this placed them in 4th position after the pool games; unfortunately missing the playoffs. The Div 2 team, whom a lot of them were playing for the first time for AISHK, recorded one draw for their games. Both teams played well and developed over the season. Thanks to Mr Bird & Mr Skellern who coached these teams through the season.

FullSizeRender (007)This year we entered one team into the Div 2 competition for the girls. This team ranged from students from Year 3 to Year 7. Even with the range of ages between them all they all gelled together and got on with playing some great soccer. The girls played six pool games and won all of them placing them 1st going into the playoffs. The girls won their semi against Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) in convincing fashion. The girls then went into the grand final against Christian Alliance International School (CAIS) and after a very close final, won with a 2-1 victory. This result meant that the girls went through the season (eight games!) undefeated. A great achievement which was guided by their coach, Miss Knight.

WELL DONE to all of the boys and girls that participated in these teams this season.
