The HKEF Inter-School Equestrian Season has now come to a close with a series of mini-competitions commencing in November 2016, and seven major heats from February to April 2017 held at Lo Wu Saddle Club (LWSC). A fabulous outcome was achieved for the AISHK team, qualifying for the final and eventually taking 4th place out of 17 Hong Kong schools in the Lower Division. The teams are made up of riders who are below 14 years of age.

The final competition was an extremely exciting two day event, where our riders with ponies Brandy and Toffee and horses Luminous and Young Supreme had to overcome a number of high quality events. A special mention must go to Sarah Broderick who over the course of the heats recorded the highest show jumping score out of all the competing Lower Division riders with a score of 91.18 points. For her first ever inter-school competition, she has made amazing progress with her riding.

We look forward to the next season, and hope to have more riders join our lower and higher division teams. Interested riders should contact the ECA office for more information on joining upcoming events.

A big thanks must also go to all parents and trainers who have worked so hard all season as well as your amazing horses.
