On Saturday 4 March, nine brave girls ventured out to Tai Kok Tsui and played some incredible netball. Playing in the Middle division, we easily triumphed through the round robin and came out on top. Playing against SPS in the semi-finals proved to be quite the challenge for us and as the bell rung and the umpires called time, we all realised that it was all tied up. Starting to get nervous and on edge about whether we will get into the final, a quick decision by the officials was done and it was down to the wire. Golden Point would win the game. Having first centre pass and taking advantage of that we managed to make a quick pass into the shooter who proved to be successful as we won the game and were into the finals!
Spectators would say that the game was too close for comfort! In the finals now and we were all nervous. But nevertheless, we tried our hardest. A very close game all the way through, but in the last moments of the game, West Island School got the better of us. However coming second overall isn’t such a bad thing.
All of the players and parents would like to say a massive thank you to Mr Flugge and Ms Arnold. Without their help we would have come nowhere near second and had as much fun!
