Auditorium filled with sweet melodies in the Festival of Song

On Thursday 15 September, our auditorium became home to the inaugural Primary Festival of Song, co-hosted by Jacaranda House and the Performing Arts Department.

Each House performed two songs for the audience:

Eucalypt

Pompeii by Bastille

Friend Like Me from Aladdin

Jacaranda

O Geronimo by Sheppard

Hakuna Mata from The Lion King

Waratah

Can’t stop the feeling by Justin Timberlake

Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book

Wattle

It’s Time by Imagine Dragons

Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid

Wearing their house colours proudly, the performers wowed the audience of classmates, teachers and many parents with the level of professionalism displayed through every song.

There were great surprises in all performances, including fabulous choreography, wonderful costumes, talented vocal soloists and instrumentalists.

All who attended would agree that by the end of the Festival, the auditorium was brimming with House spirit.

Thanks must go to students from Years 3 -6, House Patrons, Music Specialists and Staff, all of whom put many hours into rehearsing and preparing for this event.

Congratulations to all involved in making this special occasion possible.
