We are pleased to introduce Brigitte McNamara who has recently assumed the role of Director of Development and Community Relations.
Brigitte relocated to Hong Kong from Melbourne in 2014 and brings with her seven years of experience working within the Australia-China business community and business-to-business marketing.
Brigitte's areas of expertise include events management and business development, where her awareness of both Australian and Asian customs, particularly Chinese, have been key reasons for her success.
Previously, Brigitte was the Marketing and Communications Manager at the Victorian branch of the Australia China Business Council (ACBC), the premier association dedicated to promoting bilateral trade between Australia and China. Here she was instrumental in revising the Council's marketing strategies, engaging with prospective members, the media and government contacts and in contributing to a significant growth in membership and sponsorship.
Brigitte's experience also extends to media and publications through business development roles at Australia China Connections Magazine in Melbourne and i-TV Asia in Shanghai, an online television network for business executives.
With a passion for graphics and design, Brigitte also brings her creative flair, with experience in brand management and visual communications, most recently with global skincare company Intraceuticals.
Born in Jakarta and schooled in Melbourne, Brigitte graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts, earning a dual major in Communication and Media Studies and Management. With skills in conversational Indonesian and Mandarin, Brigitte's special interests include learning new languages, visual arts and travel.
